DOWNTOWN GAINESVILLE ENGAGEMENT SESSION

Myles and Natalie's Downtown Gainesville engagement session was full of love, connection and style! Definitely one for couples looking for inspo for their session! Taking a few tips from my Style Guide, they showed up dressed to impress. I absolutely loved Natalie's silk sage green dress that photographed beautifully as it flowed with each step. From hair and makeup to nails and color coordination, these two put thought into this session, and it showed!

When discussing what location they wanted for their engagement session, I was faced with the task of searching for a location with a downtown, modern vibe with interesting architecture as well as a natural landscape, with tall trees and a park-like tranquility. Well, downtown Gainesville delivered! We first headed over to one of my favorite locations, the Hippodrome Theatre and surrounding streets.

Editorial, story telling images

Instead of memorizing tons of poses for dramatic, picture perfect images, I find giving couples slight direction and then space to interact with each other, creates more captivating, story telling images. I also love movement, capturing moments as they happen. With this documentary approach, coupled with gentle guidance, you too will know what to expect, how to look your best, and have fun all at the same time!

One session, two locations

For the second half of our session, we headed over to The Thomas Center, which has that Spanish style architecture Myles loves, along with the tall, moss filled oak trees Natalie was looking for. There truly is an unlimited amount of angles and spots at this beautiful location.

Along with movement, did I mention, I love romance?! So naturally, we captured some romantic scenes to really allow them to capture that deep love. Every couple is unique, so understanding their comfort levels, and how they like to express their connection, is a key to true authentic images. Myles and Natalie's connection could be seen from the moon! It was such an honor to celebrate this milestone in their relationship and I can't wait for their wedding next year!
